Attended the Cedar County Commissioners meeting. Suggested they consider an annual increase and they seemed receptive and will consider an additional $250.00 this year for a total of $7750.00.
Contacted the city about the budget to see if they had any additional questions for the meeting next week. They told Peggy they did not have any further questions.
Lisa will attend the Youth Retreat in Ashland next month.
We only have 2 children for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten party this year so we have talked about combining it with a Teddy Bear Sleepover.
We had a great group of 5th graders on up for crafts and activities in July. We plan to have an official TAG meeting to vote on officers. We are still needing to come up with a day that will work with school starting up.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
- In September we will start with the weekly Monday story hours, Tuesday after-school programs, Owl Sage Game Days, and Thursday Learning Center programs.
- Adult book discussion will be Lessons in Chemistry on Sept. 9th.
- Book Vases for adults will be August 25th.
Old Business:
- Review policies/ none
- Confidentiality
- Disc Golf
- Continuing Education
(All policies look good and need no further review)
- Ideas and suggestions:
- Handicap accessible door–Peggy is waiting before applying for grants. There will need to be signage of some sort placed showing where the door is with it not being the main door.
